Women Connecting to Jesus and One Another

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed…” James 5:16

The American Baptist Women (ABW) at Memorial Baptist Church exists to help women connect to Jesus and one another. We passionately pursue connecting women in small groups to equip them to be changed to be more like Christ. Through this change, Christ cultivates a heart for others in each woman who participates in the ABW.

Connect. Change. Cultivate. The ABW provides a variety of connecting opportunities to allow every woman to develop their faith. The heartbeat of the ABW. is for every woman to be changed to be more like Christ. And finally, cultivating a heart for others means that we will live out the “one anothers” in Scripture. (Galatians 5:13, John 13:34, Colossians 2:19, James 5:16).

We have two women’s mission groups at Memorial Baptist Church

  1. Zelda Bate meets on second Monday, August through June 10:00 a.m at the church.
  1. Sister In Christ (SIC) meets on the second Saturday of the month generally joining our Men’s Ministry for breakfast at 8:30 am. first before breaking off to their own meeting room.

We encourage all the women in our church to get plugged in to one of these two groups so they can connect with other women, develop meaningful Christian friendships, having a direct hands-on effort in regard to mission work and to grow in their personal walk with God.
